Hello Mazda owners!

I joined this forum because of my new Mazda, a 1988 626 GD coupe, that i hope i can restore. One of the previous owners had it for nearly 20 years, but i hope to be able to repair it more in one year then him in 20.

From a distance it looks rather ok.

I believe the front bumper is after-market and i would like an oem one. All the rubber around the windows/windscreen is worn out by time/sun and must be replaced. I don't believe it was in an accident, but the paint on the front fenders seems eaten by sun. The varnish from the upper side is almost gone. The entire car shoud get a respray. I believe the center of the exaust has a crack, remains to be seen.

The interior is complete. I am actually looking for 2 weeks now for an original casette player. And gear knob. I would like to redo the upholstery as it has some cigarette burns and an overall not-so-fresh smell.

The wheels are 16" Rial. I found a set of 4 aluminium rims from a GC, the 15" full model with small holes around the edges (all 4 for under 50 euros, a bargain). I am discussing with my dealer how to move from a 5x114.3 to 4x114.3 pattern in budget.

How do you make the "lowness"? Just springs or complete coils?
