Hi, i own a 1980 929L Hardtop. Probably go sell it, because i need the space and find budget for my new project.



Bought this car a year ago with my son to make it a project car when he will go to the car-mechanic school, but planns changed because an other project came along. But when the 929L will stay, probably in 5 years it would be end up like in this movie...

What's your like to style your 929L ? Keep it stock and original, or go crazy with it ?

So.. my new project is home.. It's a 1969 Mazda 1500 De Luxe in WC white. Need some TLC though... The "rusty" 929 was used today as a wedding car. The newly wed loved the rusty survace of the car. :-) Will post pictures when i received some. The thanked me already for lending them the car and it drove wonderfull. That;s nice to hear for a Rusty old bucket...







Sadly though not many chit-chatters out her. Problem writing English? You can reply in German as well. I lived there 4 years and can understand German as my third language. But i rather write and read in English.

Yes, mine needs some work, but the car still has MOT till next year. It was by it's second owner since 1999. And yes, i believe i had a good deal on this car.

Is it possible for you to show me pictures of the headlight washer reservoir and interior switch - do they look the same as a CB2 626?

Did your car come standard with the RX5 style steering wheel?
The headlight washer reservoir is completely different to CB2 626. :-( It is interesting to me, that there are two separate water reservoirs compared to S2 CB2
where they are combined into one reservoir.
The electric mirror control looks like S2 626 and RX7.
Do the warning lights in the compartment in front of the gear selector, work? I already plan to use this area for additional gauges. :-)

yes.. this steering wheel was a luxarey option to the car. It was even in the brochure. I have 6 from these wheels, so if you are interested in one.. just tell me. They fit on a lot other old Mazda's.. Yes, the controle lights in the compartment all work. In the dash there is a "Check warning" light sign and in the compartment the light of the error is flashing. I had once the light Washer flashing (out of water in the reservoir tank) and Tail light flashing (one light was broke). When you start the car all lights are flashing to check everything.

Again, you are lucky!!!! :-) This steering wheel option was not offered in Australia, and my Japanese Luce Legato brochure does not show the steering wheel in the pictures.
I cannot read Japanese so I do not know if it is in the list of options. I think we need to discuss selling/buying a steering wheel. :-)

On Ebay they ask about $299 USD for a wheel like this. (search for Banjo steeringwheel) I can sell you this wheel for 255 AUSD. That's about $195 USD. This is incl. shipment.
But then i must take one from the wall.. ;-)

I know.. that is why i hang them on the wall.. And keep the other 4 on my cars. (The 929L has one. The RX-5 has one and the 3x121 Cosmo's have them)
