I would love to own a 929L Hardtop. They were never sold in Australia.
You guys are very lucky!!!

So etwas kann passieren - ist irgendwie nicht mein Modell - ich schrieb ja schon am Anfang, dass ich eher alte Fords und Benz mein eigen nenne - irgendwie werde ich mit dem Ding nicht warm. Versuch macht kluch....
daher wieder zum Verkauf
re Marx579: we all know, what MOT in netherlands means - - nothing.
So don´t bother yourself and do not talk about cars you´ve never seen. This car has a unique history
Show me another one here in Germany and don´t discuss my price and compare with your rusty one.
Just my two cents

But that's not a Hardtop Legato Kabaer.. ;-) (if Dierk can tell the difference, being into the Benzes and Fords) But i do hope he sells it for his price... Will be good for the Mazda Market.

Unfortunately, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. So with any car, some people will like them, most will not.
In Australia, the RX5/121/121L and the 929L are the most unliked of the early(chrome bumper) Mazda models.
Most Mazda rotary purists do not like them because their styling did not represent beauty or performance like the R100/RX2/RX3/RX4,
and the other general public just thought they were ugly.
Here are some examples:
I paid $250 for my 929L, and it looks like the previous owner is going to give me another white 929L sedan for spare parts.
I bought an S2 929L for my son for $400.
I now know where there is another S1 sedan(complete) sitting in an auto recycling yard, for $500
A genuine 1979 S1 Luce Legato sedan (only 13 came to Australia) was sold for $4000, 2 years ago.
If Marx579's 929L hardtop was here in Australia, I would buy it tomorrow because it is a classic car!!!!!
I would also buy Dierk's car BUT not at the price he asks for it because the Australian market is completely different to Europe.
So, I think it is correct to stop criticizing Dierk on his thread, and let him sell his car. If it does not sell for the price he asks, then there is nobody
out there, at this moment, who likes the car enough to buy it and take it home.

You are right. But in Germany there is nearly no market for Mazda Oldtimer. Rx2,Rx3,Rx4;Rx5 were never sold in Germany. So nobody knows them and nobody is interested. Only a few wankel-lovers.
Mazda was unknown here until the 626 or 323.
The next problem is, the most small german Mazda dealers from the first days do not exist anymore. They were all closed because Mazda made a deal with the big Ford-dealers so the small garages had to close.
If you come with an 929LA4 to a Mazda-Ford dealer here in germany he doesn´t even know what it is. So he won´t help you with spareparts or any informations about this car.
